User Guide

This software was developed by Motordiag with support from AutoComSoft technicians. This program you can use as a extra utility beside VCDS (VAG-COM) (to buy at www.motordiag.cz) which is one of the best tools for VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat diagnostics.

Main functions

Reset to factory defaults solves the imfamous problem on Skoda Felicia 1.3 MPI 40kW/50kW, namely erratic/hunting or high idle. This issue appears especially after cleaning, re-sealing, changing or other manipulation with the throttle body.

You cannot solve above idle problem using common diagnostic tools like VCDS (VAG-COM) or VAS !
ECU will be set to default values. We use a direct EEPROM memory write to set all adaptation values as a factory new unit.

Immobiliser setting will be not changed. No key-learning needed! The program will only show you immobiliser current setting to see if the ECU is protected by immobiliser or if the protection is off.

A user-friendly wizard will take you through the resetting process.

1.5x and above version can also make a backup of ECU EEPROM content and save it to disk file. Of course you can also restore the ECU's EEPROM content from file or clone memory content from another ECU at this way.

Diagnostic cable

You need:

• Diagnostic cable Fast KKL USB or Fast K-COM KKL (to buy at www.motordiag.eu)

• PC with Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7/32b

• We recommend:
  Software VCDS = VAG-COM (to buy at www.motordiag.eu) for common diagnostic procedures like trouble codes read/erase, basic setting, etc.

Supported cars

This software was developed and tested on Skoda Felicia 1,3 MPi using SIMOS 2P ECU from Siemens.

How to use

Main screen buttons:

Read ECU Id – Read and show basic information about the ECU and its immobiliser status

Read EEPROM – Read and save ECU EEPROM cotent to disk file

Write EEPROM – Write ECU EEPROM content from disk file to ECU

Factory reset – Erratic/high idle problem solving. A user-friendly wizard for reset performing will be started.

Setup – Program settings. Please choose your COM port number. If using an USB cable, check your virtual COM-port number in Control Panel/System/Device Manager>Ports (COM and LPT)

Idle problem repair

Click “Factory reset” and Follow the wizzard.
